StoryCorps is a unique oral history project. Every day in StoryCorps recording booths across the country, friends and loved ones interview each other about their lives and tell each other their extraordinary stories, all of which are archived at the Library of Congress. Recently, the StoryCorps mobile recording booth stopped in Wichita and gave local people a chance to talk about the things that are important to them. Today, we'll hear Randolph Cabral, founder of the Kansas Braille Transcription Institute, talk to his friend and colleague, Heidi Johnson, about honoring the memory of his father, a Mexican immigrant who fought for the United States in World War Two and later lost his sight.
