City of Wichita officials said Friday that Wichita Police are investigating the vandalism, over the Thanksgiving weekend, of two downtown Wichita sculptures.

The nonprofit Arts Council is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone involved in the vandalism.

The sculptures were located across the street from each other in front of the Hotel at Old Town parking garage near 2nd and Mosley.

Police patrols in the area have since been increased and the public is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111 with information relating to the crimes.

Both pieces were made by sculptor Ann Zerger and were part of The Art Council’s annual Sculpture WalkAbout Project in Wichita.
