Bela Fleck has won 11 Grammy Awards and has been nominated for three this year. Beginning as a bluegrass banjo player in a career spanning over 30 years, he has branched out into jazz, classical, world music and more. He has joined together with three other superb musicians to form the Flecktones, and they will wrap up their holiday season tour in Salina Sunday. Bela talks with KMUW's Frank Dudgeon, and we hear excerpts from their fine 2008 release "Jingle All the Way" on Rounder Records.
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones are in concert Sunday, Dec. 20 at 8 P.M. at the Stiefel Theatre in Salina. For information go to http://www.stiefeltheatre.org
