Helen Simonson now calls Washington D.C. home, but she was born in England and spent some of her growing up years in the English countryside. Calling on that experience, as well as her own native wit, charm and considerable writing skills, she has fashioned a contemporary novel of manners that has already won comparisons to Austen and Wodehouse, impressive company for a debut novelist. She is a member of the Midwest Booksellers Association, which serves a 10-state region, and recently served as president of the association.
