12/14: ICT Winter Bazaar

If the idea of another shopping mall visit turns your stomach and scouring the Internet for the perfect gift is becoming an exercise in futility, then you should know about the ICT Winter Bazaar. The ICT Winter Bazaar is a one-day-only event that brings together over 60 artists and artisans. In traditional marketplace fashion, there will be food and drinks, and Virginia Williams will provide live music.

From handmade jewelry to candles, clothes for kids, dog beds, and knitted wares, there is something for everyone. Georgia Anderson will be selling her charming prints of pithy statements. Jaki McElroy will have her art available, and will also be face painting and drawing caricatures during the event. With his father at his side, Judah Hansen, age 8, will be selling his one-of-a-kind robot lamps. It really doesn’t get any cooler than that.

Bridgit Yinger is the force behind the ICT Winter Bazaar.  She is owner and operator of The Onion Tree, a store dedicated to helping local artists gain exposure and providing Wichita an alternative to mass produced products. Yinger partnered with Craig Ainsworth, a regular contributor to NakedCity magazine, to organize the amazing event.  So, if you are in need of holiday gifts or just looking for a fun family outing, the ICT Winter Bazaar might be your last best chance before the holidays.
