Briana O’Higgins - Morning Edition Host and Reporter

A California native, Briana comes to KMUW by way of KUSP in Santa Cruz, Calif., and WYSO in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

She started working in public radio as an intern to fulfill a degree requirement while studying at Antioch College in Ohio. At WYSO she fell in love with public radio and went on to earn a graduate certificate from the Salt Institute of Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine and a Master in Social Documentation degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

While a graduate student in Santa Cruz, Briana worked as a fill-in host for Morning Edition and All Things Considered at KUSP.

After graduating, she went on to host All Things Considered at the same station. In her free time, Briana likes watching documentary films, cooking, eating and grocery shopping.
