State Rep. Brenda Landwehr of Wichita has proposed a constitutional amendment to the Kansas Constitution that would prohibit any federal health legislation passed after August 2009, from taking effect in Kansas. We think every Kansan has a right to health insurance, and on December 5th we intend to show that we are not alone in our thought.
There are some young activists with a blog called, Forward Kansas, who are organizing a rally at 21st and Amidon, Wichita on Dec. 5, at 10 am. They are supporting health care reform and opposing the proposed constitutional amendment to opt Kansas out of the health care legislation that has yet to pass. They are lining up some State Reps, like Nile Dillmore and Delia Garcia, and doctors to speak also.
They organized a successful rally in KC, three weeks ago, in the district of Sen. Mary Pilcher Cook, who is behind the amendment and now they want to come to Wichita, near the district of Brenda Landwehr, who is also supporting the amendment.
Please support this action at this critical time in the health care debate. Pass this on and share with your friends and families.
