The painting was executed using my painted paper and collage approach.
It captures the new leaves and the return of the birds (like gifts)
that come with each new spring. It shows morning, day and night. I feel
that the presentation is crisp with both warm and cool colors...just
like spring.
I feel that these attributes reflect KMUW, which
will be seeking gifts in the form of donations next spring 2008. The
crisp execution is delivered with both warm presentation, much like
KMUW's talk format and with cool feeling like KMUW's Jazz and eclectic
music formats. The painting was done with heart, in the spirit of
giving, just like KMUW itself.
Curt Clonts was born in Wichita

Dear Friend of Wichita Public Radio:
Join the future with Wichita Public Radio, as we add significantly to the station’s public service mandate. The station is moving forward with a strategic plan focusing on program production, consistency in broadcasting, as well as providing listeners with more ways to interact. This includes the addition of digital FM -- HD Radio ™. We’re moving into the future as we expand our service to even more communities by relocating our transmitter, enlarging our coverage area and replacing old equipment to give you better service. Your support makes it possible.
As a public radio listener, you are driven to learn more and to be more involved in your community than the average American. The programming of KMUW provides the quality content and broad discussion of ideas you desire. The distinctive blend of diverse music and entertainment is found only on FM89. Your financial support makes the current programming possible. By increasing your donation, you will make new and more local programming available to members of our growing communities.
KMUW wants to assist you and other members of the community in participating in art, social, and cultural enrichment opportunities. We need your valued input on how to best accomplish this. We need your financial backing in order to accomplish this. Over thirty percent of the station’s budget comes from you and your fellow members, so YOU are very important to the life and future of Wichita Public Radio.
Your past financial support has allowed us to create a compelling program schedule which led to Wichita Public Radio being ranked #22 in the nation* among over 800 public radio stations for audience share this past summer. This is up from #28 in the winter of 2006-07. Even though Wichita Public Radio is building a bigger audience, we can’t just sit back on that accomplishment. It takes a strong community of devoted and dedicated members and businesses to keep FM89 vital and reliable so the station can continue to inform, enlighten and entertain you and our new listeners within our expanded coverage area.
Please renew your gift and, if possible, consider increasing your gift. Join us in the future.
Thank you,
Denise M. Irwin Director of Development
