Live & Learn Lecture Series 2005 logo

Wichita Public Radio, the University of Kansas School of Medicine – Wichita and the Medical Society of Sedgwick County will again collaborate to present the Live & Learn Lecture Series. The series is designed to provide information on various medical and health topics, and features a monthly public lecture at the KU School of Medicine – Wichita campus at 1010 N. Kansas, two in-depth radio news reports on each topic, and a website archive of the news reports and recordings of the lectures.

Dr. Joesph C. Meek, for whom last year's lecture series was named, will present the first lecture of the new season on September 13. Dr. Meek's lecture – When the Thyroid Goes Awry: Part II – will carry on the discussion from his presentation last year, which drew the largest audience of the lecture series. All lectures are FREE and open to the public, and will be held the second Tuesday of each month, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each lecture will be held in the Sunflower Room at the KU School of Medicine – Wichita campus. You are invited to bring a sack lunch. Snacks and/or dessert and beverages will be provided. Registrations are requested by calling 316-293-2643.

KMUW News Reports
