The University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita explores various health issues in the Joseph C. Meek Live and Learn lecture series.

KUSM-W, KMUW and the Medical Society of Sedgwick County are sponsoring the Live and Learn Lecture series, which addresses important issues in today's critical health care environment. To honor its former dean, the 2004-2005 presentations have been officially titled The Joseph C. Meek Live & Learn Lecture Series.

The lectures will be presented at 11:30 a.m., the second Tuesday of each month by KUSM-W faculty, with time allotted for questions and discussion. Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch, although light snacks and beverages will be available at each lecture. Please see below for a schedule and lecture topics.

Although there is no admission charge and walk-ins are welcome, reservations are requested through University Relations, 316-293-2643, to ensure sufficient seating and refreshments are available.

The lectures take place in the Sunflower room at the KU School of Medicine, Wichita, at 1010 N. Kansas in Wichita.

KMUW News Reports
Each month, KMUW will explore the topic of the Live & Learn lecture through interviews and special reports. Listen the preceding day during All Things Considered at 4:45pm, and during Morning Edition the day of the lecture for these segments.
